What advice would you give to a Popstar hopeful?

My advice is to never lose sight of what's important to you and what you want. It's hard going through high school, and college is tough too. There's a lot of rejection along the way. There are a lot of people who will tell you that you don't have it. But if you want it, it will happen. I say that because I went through it. There were people who didn't have faith in me or didn't understand me. They were people who didn't understand why I wasn't going to the cool parties. They preferred to call me a "drama geek." I don't regret all the time I spent at the dance studio because I was having the time of my life. And look where I am now.

I always had the support of my family. If you can count your friends on one hand, consider yourself lucky - really lucky. Always be yourself and keep it real. Remember where you came from and remember to take it day-by-day. As long as you're happy and you don't lose sight of what you want, then everything will fall into place the way it should.
